Scotland Rocks!!!!

Well, in my humble opinion....Scotland is the best place by far! The landscape is to die for!

On Monday night we stayed in a hostel in England which is a refurbished factory....next to a river...with a walking/hiking trail which leads to the most beautiful waterfall! Some of the kids were missing the fact that we haven't been to church in 2 weeks so we had a short devotion time before lights out for anyone who was interested.

On Tuesday we traveled to Liverpool to see the Beatles Museum and then onto Scotland (a very LONG bus ride) but we pulled up to the most gorgeous hotel in Pitlochery, the "center of the universe"...complete with a great little village and an indoor swimming pool! The kids are in heaven with the accomodations!

Wednesday was quite a busy day....we did some community service work for the Pitlochery community which included weeding, planting flowers and laying mulch...it is so interesting to see which kids stand out as the leaders in the different situations they have encountered....Brian and Dylan from Georgia/South Carolina were our definite leaders today! After a great lunch at a beautiful home we traveled to the Tay River for some rafting! What a sight to see everyone in full wet suits, helmets and life preservers. We had 6 boats and a GREAT TIME!!! Everyone participated!!!! After dinner we met Alan...a true Scotsman who showed us how to put on a real kilt (Julius was our model)....showed us the different things that it could be used for...and he showed us the different weapons they used in battle....he was quite entertaining and even got all the kids dancing....yes, I have video!

On Thursday we head out early in search of the Loch Ness Monster!!!!!

We are having a great time but again, we look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday night!

Much love,
MJ
