We have arrived in Ireland!!!

After a 2 hour ferry trip across the Irish Sea we arrived in Ireland! Glad to report that there was no seasickness!!!!

We got to tour the factory at Waterford! Some of us held a copy of the Super Bowl Trophy, some got to smash defective waterford glasses and all learned the intricate work required for the beautiful cut glass details we all take for granted...some of you were fortunate enough to even get gifts!!!!

Today we toured the Blarney Castle (the one we painted) and kissed the Blarney Stone...we had a blast - not all were adventurous enough to kiss it though but we got some great pictures.

We then had a long bus ride to Dublin and stopped for about an hour at the Irish Stud Farm/Japanese Gardens. It was great to stretch our legs...even if we did learn more about how to stud a horse than I think any of us really needed to know :)

The hotel in Dublin is in the City Centre which is exciting....the kids are exploring the city in large groups...we will be here until Saturday. Tomorrow we will be visiting a farm where we will learn to make soda bread and bog jump....can't wait for that.

The kids are doing a great job experiencing the culture and trying the food....but be ready to cook some good southern meals or drive thru some good old fast food!

Will check back in later for any messages you want me to pass on to the kids!

Thanks so much for the blog MJ, it's great to have an idea of what's going on. Tell Michael to take lots of pictures of Ireland because he knows that's my dream vacation. Tell him to behave or threaten him with my wrath :)! Ya'll have fun and keep us posted.
